Encompass has selected Starlight as its charity partner in the U.S. and Canada, is centered on the production of pediatric healthcare apparel and bedding, specifically pediatric gowns and pajamas –- The Starlight Collection -- that are being produced in a variety of age categories and utilizes the designs of Starlight children.

At Great Escape^TM family events and through the Starbright World® online social network, Starlight kids and siblings were invited to create designs for pediatric gowns based on the question: You’ve been in the hospital and know how scary and lonely it can be; what would you like on your gown to cheer you up?  Encompass employees voted for the winning design in each age category, and those designs are being reproduced as Starlight Pediatric Gowns for each age range.

Winning Designs  

	Myron Melody of the Sky Myron was diagnosed with diabetes when he was nine years old. He remembers how his life underwent many changes after the diagnosis - his days were suddenly tasked with constantly monitoring his sugar and diet. Read more.
	Noah One Small Star Noah has had asthma since he was ten years old. He remembers the days leading up to his diagnosis: “I was so sick. I couldn’t breathe. I had been sick before but I knew at the time that there was something different happening inside of me - I wasn’t only miserable. I was in actual pain.” Read more.
	Anna Kristina You are Not Alone Anna Kristina’s younger brother, Peter Lukas, was diagnosed with a yolk sac cancerous tumor when he was just 10 months old. The illness brought its share of trauma to the young boy and tears and stress to his entire family. Read more.
	Rebecca A Touch of Neon    When Rebecca was a young girl, she was always sick. Doctors could never fully explain the cause behind her chronic diarrhea and stomachaches. Her own mother assumed it was always the stomach flu. “It would have made sense if my symptoms were not going on for months at a time,” shares Rebecca. Read more.

Encompass is making a generous contribution to support the campaign –- a guaranteed donation of more than $65,000 each year for two years and will be placing three Fun Center^TM mobile entertainment units each year for two years in hospitals that are currently on Starlight’s Fun Center wait list.
